The big 1-5!

It's my birthday today!
And what a magical birthday it's been!
Firstly, I woke up at about 9 30 to a bottle of Chanel no.5 and some gift cards.
Then, I was chauffeured down to Yorkville, where I splurged on a plate French toast which puts all other toasts to shame.
After my lovely meal at Sassafraz, I went shopping.
I swear, hearing the sound of my high heels clacking on the marble floors of Holt Renfrew is the soundtrack of heaven.
(Naturally, the only thing I left with was that feeling that you get when you fall in love.)
High on life and love, I bought some gorgeous (and expensive) clothes, and then made my way home from the marvelous streets of downtown.
Even after cleaning my room and studying for a tomorrows french test, I'm as elated as ever.
Nothing can dampen my spirits today.
La vie est en rose!

Saturday...

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a really super dee duper long time.
Quiche- I was not referring to you or Anna-Banana
BUT I am actually so glad you read my blog!!!
It's exciting, because all this time I was convinced I was just writing for nobody... kind of like I was just throwing all these words into the the ocean, hoping the odd fish would like them or something... weird analogy, sorry, ANYWAYS, ok.

So for dinner today I had a bowl of captain crunch, salt and vinegar chips and popcorn.
Aren't I just the biggest health nut you've ever met?
In all seriousness, I feel sick to my stomach.
Remind me to never eat junk food ever again.
I'm going to start living a very impressive healthy lifestyle.
Tommorow, I'll make a spinach and walnut salad, then go jogging and take a multi-vitamin... except I probably won't because
a)I'm too lazy to go jogging, especially in the freezing cold and
b) If there is anything I learned from Big Bang Theory, it's that all you get out of taking a multi-vitamin is very expensive pee.
But what the hell am I talking about this for?
I'm going to go do something else now, BYE!

Tuesday

Oh man.
Thanksgiving is brutal.
I'm still full.
Stuffed nicely with turkey and pie.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend,
full of thanks and food.

I wish I could put up more photos.
The bulk of this blog was supposed to be images,
except my camera broke and I've got to wait until Christmas for a new one.
So, my nine readers, you must bear with me until then.

What to talk about, what to talk about....
Oh I know.
How do you guys feel about Hooters?
I personally find the whole concept disgusting.
It seems so wrong that a "family" restaurant should be based around the objectification and exploitation of the female body.
That's not right.
My brother went there a few days ago, and he kept saying that it's a "family" restaurant.
It's bad enough that this restaurant even exists, but can you imagine small, easily influenced, girls coming there with their families?
Looking up to these women?
I was so upset that anyone would go there.
Even the name frustrates me... Hooters.
It's gross.
Urghh.

I'm going to stop myself before I go on a full out feminist rant.

Best Concersation #4

Justin: I'm going to Ikea monday.
I looove Ikea.

Emily:I do too. I haven't been there in years

You should get one of those mini cactuses that they have... I live for those

Justin: I'll get a three pack.
One for me.
One for you.
And we'll smash up the third one, because odd numbers blow.

Best Conversation # 3

Justin: How do you get to school?

Emily: With my handy dandy legs

Justin: Whoah. That's new

Emily: My new fangled mode of transportation...I'm thinking of patenting the idea

Justin: You should make a leg metropass.

Emily: I'm imagining how that might work....

Justin: It wouldn't.
I just like ideas with no follow up.

Emily: Me too.
I plan things all day long and never follow through.

Justin:We should make like an investment firm for people with idea that they cant follow.

They tell us the idea and we profit off of it.

Emily: That's sounds like a plan.

Tuesday.

Had my first tap class today.
Fun stuff.
Got to practice my parradiddles.

Today a funny thing happened to me today.
So we all know or have seen crazy people.
I hate to sound mean, but you know the kind of people I'm talking about.
The kind that mutter angrily to themselves,
or strike up random conversations with you in the subway.
Well I generally don't think too much about crazy people.
I never really think about what they do to eat and sleep and stuff like that.
But today, I went to this diner for dinner,
and there was a crazy man in front of me in line.
He was muttering to himself and everything.
And he ordered a double cheese burger with
mayonnaise, a TON onions...
(more onions please sir thank you sir more sir thank you so much sir)
and lots and lots of pickles.
It looked like a disgusting mess on a pair of buns.
I never even considered that crazy people would eat crazy things.
It was a strangely thought provoking experience.
But then, thinking about the lives of crazy people for a long time made me kind of sad,
so I stopped.

And the diner I went to was fabulous.
It was so wonderfully cliche.
The guy working there was this greasy old Italian man,
wearing an apron the fit very snuggly under his belly.
It had grease stains on it and everything.
He gave me a free pita.

Before I go, I'll leave you another heart throb.

.

I would just like to point out his godly bone structure.

Lazing on a Sunday...

I did nothing today.
It was a nice nothing though.
Not a depressing nothing.
Very relaxing.
Because I did nothing, I don't really have anything to talk about.
I'll just leave you with this picture.

That James Dean was one attractive cat.

Fame.

Ok.
I hate to sound cheesy, but Fame was the best movie EVER!
I want to go sing
and play cello and saxophone.
I want to go dance.
I wish I could dance.
I want to act.
I want to do SOMETHING.
AHH.
Go see this movie.
It's the most ridiculously inspirational movie ever.
You leave the theater wanting to express yourself,
however you possibly can.
Speaking of dancing,
I'm signing up for tap lessons...
As if my family and neighbors didn't already think I was loud enough.
Get ready for a deafening combination of tap dancing and sax playing.
And singing as loud as I can.
I swear to god, I want to belt my lungs out.
That movie is ridiculous.

Best conversation ever #2

Emily: What the hell Laura? What are you doing to my wenis???

Laura: Oh my god!
I have, like, the most humungonormous wenis ever!!!
Put your finger there... it's like a pig in a blanket.

*A wenis, for anyone who does not know,
is the skin on your elbow that is very stretchy.
